Landry & Foy Builders, Santa Cruz general contractor

Bob Landry, Partner

Bob started on a dual path of construction and architectural design in 1975 when he became a laborer with a local contractor while attending Cabrillo College. While he worked his way up to foreman, he developed plans for small residential building projects. In 1985, with his general contractor’s license in hand, Bob established a sole proprietorship offering residential construction and design services.

Bob Landry & Greg Foy

To further his skills in building design, Bob attended UC Berkeley for two years and earned a degree in Architecture in 1992. His studies included sustainable green design, architectural history, structural and site design. In 1995, Bob established the partnership with Greg Foy based on their shared vision of offering high quality residential building, design and consulting services on the Central Coast.

Bob has been a resident of Santa Cruz since 1974.

Greg Foy, Partner

Greg’s construction experience began at age 16 when his father, a highly regarded, local architect, built his house in Aptos in 1975. The lead carpenters took Greg under their wings and led him through the steep learning curve of building a custom post and beam house.

After graduating from Aptos High School in 1976, Greg took construction technology courses at Cabrillo College and worked for several local general contractors developing his skills. Greg started working with Bob Landry in 1986. 10 years later the two craftsmen formed a partnership.
